Recognising volunteer contributions

During their work to make a recent exhibition as accessible as possible to all visitors, Babylon ARTS and its volunteers developed and recorded some accessibility guides and raised drawings.

The ‘Sensing Nature’ exhibition, for the Inspired by Nature project which was funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, has successfully incorporated the guides and drawings - all with the help of some volunteers who worked closely with visually impaired individuals from Camsight and Vision Norfolk.

Babylon ARTS rewarded the volunteers with digital badges for their efforts on the project.

Babylon ARTS Project Manager, Liz Falconbridge, said,

“I can't tell you how grateful (and excited) we are to have issued digital badges at the end of what has been an 'eye-opening' project (excuse the pun, but it's true!). Our awareness has been hugely enhanced by this new learning all round for the organisation and importantly for the young people. I would like to thank Region of Learning and Badge Nation for your support ensuring the badges really reflect the care and consideration undertaken by our volunteers. They will be delighted too!”
