We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Support Cambridgeshire digital badges, designed to recognise and celebrate the incredible contributions of volunteers and achievements of community organisation beneficiaries across the region. Whether you are a local hero or are developing skills in your community champion, there's a badge to display your impact! We’ve done the leg work so if you’re a small organisation, you can apply to issue these badges to your participants and volunteers!
These badges are more than just symbols—they are shareable, professional credentials that can be added to LinkedIn, CVs, and social media to boost employability and visibility.
🌟 Why Have These Badges Been Created?
This innovative digital badge initiative was developed to:
Support small organisations with limited resources to make use of ‘off-the-shelf’ high qulaity digital badges to honour their volunteers and participants achievements.
Celebrate and recognise the valuable contributions and skills development of individuals in the voluntary and community sector.
Provide visible, credible evidence of skills that are often overlooked or informal.
Support pathways into employment, volunteering, and further learning by showcasing transferable skills.
Strengthen the voluntary sector’s role in developing local talent and supporting inclusive growth.
Backed by labour market data from Lightcast, a nationally used tracking platform, these badges reflect the real-world skills employers are looking for—making them a powerful tool for personal and professional development.

Support Cambridgeshire – A collaboration between Hunts Forum and Cambridge Council for Voluntary Services, supporting community and voluntary groups across Cambridge City, South Cambridgeshire, Huntingdonshire, and Fenland.
The GET Group – A network supporting adult skills and employment in the voluntary sector since 1989, now coordinated by Support Cambridgeshire.
Region of Learning – Work with local partners to empower individuals through recognition of learning and achievement.
